- Customer and job data — information you enter about your customers and work orders, including names, contact details, addresses, notes, and photos.
- Payment information — handled by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers; we receive limited billing details and subscription status.
- Usage and technical data — basic logs and device information needed to operate and secure the Service.
2. How we use information
We use information to:
- provide, maintain, and improve the Service;
- generate AI job summaries from the data you submit;
- send transactional emails (e.g., job assignments, completions, password resets);
- process payments and manage subscriptions;
- secure the Service and comply with legal obligations.
3. Customer personal information
When you store information about your customers, you act as the controller of that data and Work In Order acts as your processor. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to collect and store that information and for honoring your customers’ rights.
4. Service providers we share with
We share information with vendors who process it on our behalf, under contractual safeguards:
- Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage.
- OpenAI — generating AI job summaries from the content you submit.
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Resend — sending transactional email.
We do not sell your personal information.
5. Data retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. You may request deletion of your account and associated data, subject to legal retention requirements.
6. Security
We use industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit and row-level access controls, to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
